God loves women, and so do we.
Made in His image, women are natural thinkers, creative problem solvers, and leaders. Our ministry celebrates and supports women in medical or dental marriages for all that Christ has called them to be.
Biblical Encouragement for Extraordinary Women
At the heart of our ministry is our bi-weekly bible study. Studies begin in late August and end in May, although new members are welcome any time throughout the year!
Additionally, our Leadership Team believes that financial constraints during medical school or residency should never be a barrier to participation. Group members who are married to a medical student or a resident are welcome to contact a member of our Leadership Team to discuss free study materials.
Cultivating Healthy Minds, Bodies, and Souls
SBS has been a source of loving support, friendship, prayer, delicious food, and, of course, lots of laughter. It has also been a source of babysitting references, meals for new moms or those who are ill, advice about all things local, and even job connections. Our community LOVES cultivating healthy minds, bodies, and souls whenever we gather. Through our friendship and exploration of scripture, we truly taste and see how our Lord is good.
Loving Childcare
We understand how it feels to be the new family in town, and we know our new moms don’t want to leave their kids with just anyone.
Side By Side-Little Rock is proud to work with local nannies who are former elementary school teachers and current mothers of littles. Our childcare providers are screened, trained and have years of experience. Childcare is provided at no cost to women who are married to medical/dental students and residents; or women who are medical/dental students or residents.
Moms can drop off their kids in our playroom and enjoy their bible study time knowing that their little ones will be safe and well loved!
Community Outreach
Side By Side-Little Rock loves caring for the women in our group. In 2020 our members expressed the desire to care for women and children in our broader community, so we reached out to local organizations and asked for practical ways we could help. We are so grateful for the relationships we have established with Women and Children First, as well as the Central Arkansas Diaper Bank.
